Poetic Terms That Start with the Letter K


Kyrielle - A French poetic form consiting of four-line stanzas where the fourth line of each stanza is a repeated refrain. A kyrielle must consist of at least two stanzas, but can be as long as the poet wishes. Kyrielle usually also rhyme. The rhyme scheme of the kyrielle can be one of any of the following rhyme schemes:

abab
aabb
aaab
abcb
